I help people create their own reality.

This sounds crazy, at first, but it’s actually based in solid principles, following a predictable process that gets results every time. I’ve seen it happen so many times now in my life and in the lives of my clients that I don’t question it anymore. I just keep figuring out how to optimize it.

One of those ways is to help people understand the context around creating their reality. Because I’ve discovered that, without this context, the tools I provide are useless (mainly because people don’t use them consistently; they just gather dust).

Here’s the context:

To begin creating the reality you really want, you first have to understand that there are things you can control, and things you can’t (and the things you can control require an investment of faith, time and energy). If you’re going to become powerful in your own life, you’ll have to learn how to differentiate between these two things.

A lot of people have the false idea that manifesting is just magical thinking. But it is a complex process with a lot of moving parts. If you don’t understand all the parts, you won’t experience what you want. So here goes…

There are things you can’t control.

    1. Your “Formative Setting”: We are all dealt a certain hand at birth. We’re born with a unique country, culture and caregivers. This environment leads us to create unique beliefs about the world and our place in it, some helpful, and some not-so-much. A big part of learning how to control your own reality is accepting that whatever you experienced was EXACTLY what you needed to prepare you to do what you came here to do, and start from there.
    2. The Seasons of Life. No matter how evolved you are, there will be challenges, changes, loss, sickness and death. If you’re gonna enjoy playing this game, you’re just gonna have to accept this deeper truth, and use these experiences as opportunities to learn, grow and develop more love and compassion for your Self and others.
    3. Where You Are Right Now. Maybe you’re convinced that you SHOULD be enlightened by now. Or have that 6-figure income. Or that book written. Or that perfect love. Or whatever. But here’s the freeing and also super-annoying truth. Life is perfect. It doesn’t make mistakes. So if you needed to have that now, you’d have it. Whatever you are now, and whatever you have, is exactly what you need to take you to the next level of your journey. What is the value of feeling bad or angry about all the things you’ve imagined you’re supposed to have achieved? Life is about going fully on the journey full out. Life will support you, but first you have to uncover and learn to trust what you actually want, rather than settling for what you think you can get). The catch is you have to put down all that self judgement, and remain in an open, receptive state, to receive guidance from your higher self/intuitive gut guidance.
    4. Subconscious Thoughts and Feelings. Much of what you think and feel was programmed in your “formative setting”—i.e. it is mainly controlled by your subconscious mind, which I refer to in my work as your “Avatar Self” (or “Child Self”, but I find that term misleading, because there’s actually no one else in there). If you try too hard to control your thoughts and feelings, you’ll just end up repressing them, and they’ll pop up in some other guise to bite you in the ass. The trick is to change how you relate to your thoughts and feelings, so they change on their own. For example, this easy tool I shared with you in an earlier post.

There are things you can control.

  1. Get clear on what you want to experience. How? By making a list of what you don’t want, then drawing a line down the page and making a list of the opposite. Imagine that you’re building a new house. The contractor comes to you. “What do you want your new house to look like?” He asks. But instead you just tell him about all the things you don’t like about your old house. He can’t give you what you want, right? Yet this is what we do! We sit around obsessing about all the things in our lives we don’t want. To take control, you need to use this as a starting point to get clear on what you do want in your new energetic “house”, and shift all your focus to building that.
  2. Use Your Intentions (based on what you decided you want) to “steer” the direction of your life journey. Intentions are just statements about what you intend to create. They’re powerful, because they let energy know what you are wanting to do, be and create, so that it can help you make it happen. But if you haven’t bothered to write them down or spend time daily reviewing them, then the energy required to build this “new house” will not be generated. You are driving. Let me repeat that again. YOU are driving. Your intentions are the steering wheel. Use my formula, if you need guidance on this.
  3. Introduce NEW Thought and Feeling Patterns Over Time. Rather than fighting with the thoughts and feelings you already have and can’t change quickly (because they’re subconsciously generated), invest your energy into introducing new patterns of thought and feeling that feel better. This will begin creating new pathways in your brain. Also, you’ll begin attracting more experiences that feel good, because your external world can only reflect your internal thoughts and feelings.
  4. Process Your Old Patterns Over Time. Adding new thought and feeling patterns will help, but the old ones still need to be processed. There is no quick way to do this, but some ways are quicker than others, and the sooner you get started the better! Possibilities include:
    1. A daily mindfulness meditation practice of just 5-10 minutes can help a lot here, where you just tune into what’s happening inside of you and acknowledge and allow it without judging it or feeding it.
    2. Writing, art, dance and other workshops that focus specifically on helping you heal old patterns to reconnect you with your authentic self.
    3. Emotional processing tools like Emotional Freedom Technique (also called “Tapping”)
    4. Freewriting, where you set a timer for 5-10 minutes and just keep writing whatever thoughts and feelings come up without censoring them for the entire time. The trick with this is you must keep writing, even if you are just writing “I don’t know what to write” for two pages.
    5. My Foolproof Formula: If you’re really keen to understand your patterns, use this formula. It creates magic every time I use it.

I’ll leave you with one last thought: I believe that the whole point of “the game of life” is not to achieve some imagined idea of life perfection but rather to learn how to love ourselves and others more deeply and, as part of that, to uncover what makes us feel most inspired and alive—and do that as much as we can, for as long as we can.

And anyway, what else are you gonna do with your time on Earth? It’s going to end. You might as well do the inner work to make the most of it while you’re here. ;)
